Independent Audit Report, FY22-23

Merina+Co have examined the Portland Children’s Levy’s compliance with laws and regulations outlined in Measure 26-197, the five-year levy renewed by voters in November 2018, for the year ended June 30, 2023.

2024 Community Report

The 2022-23 year allowed many programs to make significant progress toward pre-pandemic goals. Meanwhile, the Community Council advisory body started meeting to provide a public voice to shape the Levy’s work, especially for the large grant funding round scheduled for fall 2024.

2023 Community Report

The 2021-22 year came amidst a backdrop of increasing gun violence and ongoing racism that continue to challenge the community. Grantee partners worked hard to create safe settings in programs and schools that offered opportunities for children to grow, connect and learn.

2022 Community Report

The information in this Community Report covers the 2020–21 fiscal year, as organizations faced continued uncertainty with the pandemic, staffing shortages, and other challenges. Black, Indigenous, people of color, and other historically marginalized community members also faced ongoing structural and institutional barriers.

2021 Community Report

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 profoundly affected us all. No person or organization was immune to its impact, including our grantee partners and the relationship-based programs they have built in communities.
