College Possible makes college admission and success a reality for low-income students through intensive coaching and support and is 1 of 7 PCL-funded mentoring programs. “It makes me feel spiritual inside.” Watch high school student, Tatum, share how important @NAYAFam’s Sibling Family Visit Night is to her family. The monthly, PCL-funded event provides cultural enrichment services for Native American youth in #fostercare.


Village Market is a neighborhood market with a commitment to affordable, fresh and local food for all people. The Portland Children’s Levy supports their “Free Fruit for Kids” program as well a 30% discount on fruit & vegetables for all SNAP customers.

The Portland Children’s Levy invests in fifteen Child Abuse Prevention & Intervention programs citywide. Volunteers of America Oregon’s Family Relief Nursery offers much-needed respite to overwhelmed parents, and creates an environment where families of all backgrounds are able to thrive.

Big thanks to the team at Meals on Wheels People for all their work to address food insecurity in our community. The “Meals 4 Kids” program delivers around 3,400 meals every week to children and caregivers with barriers accessing other sources of emergency food throughout the city.


This month we are focusing on our investments in hunger relief programs. Thank you to the Oregon Food Bank for inviting us to hear about the connection between food, health and learning at its school-based pantry in Earl Boyles Elementary.
