**Playworks can help providers working with children integrate safe, healthy and inclusive student play into existing school activities through a series of thorough and interactive workshops that highlight constructive tools and methods. Programs Making a Difference: MESA
**At the recent 2016 MESA Day competition at Portland State University, more than 300 middle and high school students competed in 90-plus teams on the Prosthetic Arm Challenge 2.0. For this year’s challenge, teams of students designed and developed electronically powered and programmed prosthetic devices, which they put through a series of tests/challenges at the competition. Winning Oregon teams head off to compete at MESA Nationals at Weber State University in Utah.
Oregon MESA is a pre-college academic program hosted by PSU that equips underrepresented students with science, technology, engineering and math invention and 21st-century skills.
