**Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest invites the public to participate in its first ever peer-to-peer fundraising event: Rappel for Her. On Aug. 20, participants can have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rappel over the edge of a 16-story building in downtown Portland. Each individual must raise a minimum of $1,000 for Girls Inc. programming to qualify. Girls Inc. helps girls ages 6-18 realize their potential; more information here.
**Birch Community Services is offering a three-day Replication Seminar in August for community organizations who want to start similar programs. Go here for more info.
**Playworks can help providers working with children integrate safe, healthy and inclusive student play into existing school activities through a series of thorough and interactive workshops that highlight constructive tools and methods. The trainings are designed for before-, after- and out-of-school program staff. Go here for more info.

Programs Making a Difference: IRCO’s SUN community school program at Parkrose Middle School
**Parkrose Community SUN School celebration showcased a bevy of talented students who sang and performed for an auditorium full of admirers. An assortment of ethnic dishes brought by parents was enjoyed as well, and community agencies were on hand providing information about their resources.
